Aftercare Guide

What Happens After Your Session

Your essential aftercare guide

A yoni massage session can be a profound experience. What you do in the hours and days afterwards matters. This guide will help you take care of yourself and make the most of your experience.

Immediately After Your Session

When your session ends, there is no rush to leave. Take your time to come back to yourself. You may feel deeply relaxed, emotional, energised, or a mixture of many feelings. All responses are normal and welcome.

Tip: Don’t Rush

If possible, avoid scheduling anything immediately after your session. Give yourself at least an hour of quiet time to integrate the experience before returning to daily life.

Physical Aftercare

Your body has just had a significant experience. Treat it gently in the hours that follow.

  • Drink plenty of water to help flush any toxins released during the massage
  • Eat light, nourishing food — avoid heavy meals or alcohol
  • Take a warm bath with Epsom salts if you feel any muscle tenderness
  • Rest if you feel tired — your body may need extra sleep
  • Avoid intense exercise for 24 hours — gentle movement like walking is fine
  • Some light spotting or increased discharge is normal and usually temporary

Emotional Aftercare

Yoni massage can release stored emotions. In the hours and days following your session, you may experience a range of feelings — joy, sadness, vulnerability, empowerment, or even unexpected emotions that seem to come from nowhere.

Whatever you feel is valid. These emotions are moving through you for a reason. Allow them space without trying to analyse or judge them.

Tip: Journal Your Experience

Writing down your thoughts and feelings after a session can help you process and remember insights. Even a few sentences can be valuable.

The Days That Follow

The effects of yoni massage often continue to unfold over several days. You might notice:

  • Vivid dreams or changes in sleep patterns
  • Increased sensitivity or awareness in your body
  • Shifts in mood — both highs and lows are possible
  • Changes in libido or sexual response
  • A feeling of openness or vulnerability
  • Insights or realisations about your life or relationships
  • A deeper sense of calm or wellbeing

Self-Care Practices

To support your continued integration, consider these self-care practices in the week following your session:

Be gentle with yourself. This is not the time to push yourself hard at work or take on extra stress. Give yourself permission to slow down.

Spend time in nature. Walking outdoors, sitting in a garden, or simply being near trees and water can help ground you and support emotional processing.

Limit social media and news. Protect your energy by reducing exposure to negative or overwhelming content.

Connect with supportive people. If you have trusted friends or a therapist, sharing your experience (if you wish to) can be helpful.

When to Reach Out

If you have questions or concerns after your session, please don’t hesitate to contact me. It’s completely normal to have thoughts or feelings come up that you want to discuss.

If you experience prolonged emotional distress that feels difficult to manage, please reach out to a mental health professional for additional support. Yoni massage can sometimes bring up deep material that benefits from ongoing therapeutic care.
